Terms and Conditions

THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE A LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENT.  THEY SET OUT THE TERMS ON WHICH WE ARE PREPARED TO HIRE A COTTAGE TO YOU.

 

  • Please note that all three cottages are set on a working farm.

  • You agree that you are responsible for yourselves, your children and your pets when you stay in our holiday cottages. 

  • You agree to keep pets on a lead & children under close supervision when on the main farm where machinery and cattle are present

  • Please be careful if walking along the river bank or fishing, Strathisla Farm Cottages cannot be held responsible for any accidents.


Arrival And Departure

  • Arrival from 3pm

  • Departure by10am 

Access by key safe details of which will be provided by your booking agent.

 

Groups

No more than the maximum number of persons, as stated on www.cottages.com website may occupy the Cottages.

 

Pets  - we love dogs but please abide by these rules.
  • Please bring bedding and towels for your dog.

  • If you know your pet will want to be up on the sofa we ask you bring protective covers so as to keep the furniture fur free for others.

  • Please do not let your dog onto the beds. If they are used to sleeping in your bedroom at home please ensure they sleep in their own dog bed

  • Please do not to leave pets alone in the cottages and please do not to let them damage any part of the Cottages.

  • Clear all dog mess from the garden & on walks. Free dog bags are available at Meigle Spar shop if you ask the shop assistant

  • Well behaved dogs may run free on open farmland where no farm animals & crops are present.

 

Security, You And Your Property
  • While the Cottages have locks you are responsible for ensuring the security of your belongings.  

  • You are responsible for ensuring the safety of yourself, children and vulnerable adults in your group.  You are also responsible for ensuring that your property is not damaged or destroyed. We are not responsible for any death, personal injury or damage to your property.

  • Parents and guardians must ensure that their children are supervised by a responsible adult and are not left unattended.  You must take particular care when children are around animals, farm equipment and water.

  • There are smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms in all properties, Fire blankets and fire extinguishers. Fire assessments have been carried out and notices can be found in the instructions folder in each cottage.

  • We strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance to cover your holiday.

  • A list of emergency numbers is on the wall in all the cottages for yours and your pets safety.

 

Your Obligations

These cottages are strictly NO SMOKING

  • You agree you will not remove any furniture, bedding, plates or cutlery etc from any of the Cottages

  • You agree you will keep the Cottage and the furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses, bedding and towels clean and in good condition. We acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen. Please notify us straight away so we have time to repair or replace the item before the arrival of our next guests. 

  • You agree to cover the cost if carpets/flooring or furniture is damaged beyond reasonable repair.

We would be grateful if you could strip the beds when you leave the cottages and remove all rubbish.

 

Act of God Clause
  • We cannot be held responsible for natural disasters and other events outside of our control.  Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance to cover yourselves in the event of such circumstances.

  • In the situation that the cottage you have booked is not accessible from one of the nearby major roads due to flooding or snow the cost of the booking will be refunded to you. 

  • We cannot be held responsible if you are not able to reach the cottage because of your local adverse weather or travel problems.
